What is an Interview?

"Interview" --  The word that has a major role in the life of each and every graduate. This may appear to be a simple word, may by spelling and pronunciation but it matters a lot because it is viewed to be a part of life.

Inter+view=Interview which is nothing but the view on the internal skills and potentials . According to Oxford, Interview is a meeting of persons face to face for consultation.

There are hundreds of single line definitions as these for this single word -"Interview".

The word that shuffles the life of the common man. The word that pays path for a common man. Every person should have frightened about it at least once in their life time.

More over, Interview is a market. The a candidate (you) go there to sell a product, of course for making a profit. And the product is you.

What are the types of interview?

The process of hiring a candidate has changed a lot. Know what, now-a-days, the hiring process is also done online via a video conferencing and video resumes are also available. But then most commonly these are the two basic process that are used in hiring a candidate.

1. Panel interview
2. Telephonic interview

If interviews are made to judge you, come on its not too late. Its the perfect time to judge yourselves to make sure that you are really capable to get judged.
"Good luck is the result of Good practice."
Do you agree with the above statement? Yeah right.

1. Panel interview

The point is that in this type of interview the candidate would be allowed to converse with the recruiter. The time of the conversation can't be specified exactly. The company learns about the applicant via an interview, the type of the company doesn't matter. A professional conversation between an employee and the employer makes this time.
When an egg and a potato is put inside the boiling water, what happens? The potato becomes soft but the egg becomes harder. Its a simple example which means a lot. Than the circumstances, our capabilities and the potentials are responsible for the outcomes.
Typically interviews are held face to face as given by the Oxford, but there are also different types of interviews that are held for different reasons. Let us in short have a glance on the different types of interviews that are held to recruit people.

This is a very common type of interview that is conducted almost in all the companies. this will allow the employers to identify the skills that they need from the candidate directly. The candidate is judged by the employee based on series of questions.

2. Telephonic interview

This technique is mostly opted as a trick before the Panel interview, when there are large number of candidates. It is used to screen out less qualified candidates. The phone interview helps to verify items of interest on the resume.

The phone interview may be between the candidate and the employee via a telephone call. It can also be a conference call with more than one person asking the questions (very rare).
