Government Jobs


Government jobs are most preferred ones when it comes for the job seekers. But due to the limited openings and alerts, only few can make it. I guess its the matter of identifying the opportunities and applying. Most of the graduates are also preparing for the bank exams and opting it as a choice.

What are the Government jobs for Graduates?

There are many openings in the government sectors for the graduates and there are several ways to get them notified.


1. Through GATE exams

Public sector undertakings (PSUs) in India decided that a GATE score shall be the primary criteria for initial shortlisting. Indian Oil Corporation was the first PSU which successfully tested out this system and was followed two years later by National Thermal Power Corporation, Bharat Heavy Electricals, Bharat Electronics & PowerGrid Corporation of India. Usually these companies release their recruitment notifications right after GATE notification, indicating that candidates have to take GATE to be considered for a job in their organizations. 2. Through AICTE 

The All India Council for the Technical Education is also offering various ways for helping a graduate with the Government openings.

These three are the major ways to get a government job for the graduates. Other than this, a graduate either a UG or a PG may opt the Teaching field.

What are the Government jobs for Graduates in the teaching profession?

For adapting the teaching line, the candidate must have done his post graduate. After doing their U.G (Under Graduation), do a Master degree in the relevant field. Students have to make sure they do their higher studies to become a lecturer. However, U.G graduates can also make it in certain constraints.

What are the (lecturer) teaching jobs for Under Graduates (UG)?

The under graduates can opt the teaching professional in the polytechnic colleges (or) other skills development institutions.

Requirements

1. The candidate must have a First Class Bachelor’s Degree in the Branch of Engineering relating to the Post Concerned.
2. The minimum age limit to apply for this job is 18 years and the maximum age should not exceed more than 35 years.
3. View the detailed pay scale given by the AICTE for these lecturers.

What are the (lecturer) teaching jobs for Post Graduates (PG)?

Requirements

1. The Assistant Professors should have Master’s degree in the relevant branch.
2. The Communication skills should be good enough to clear interview.
3. View the detailed pay scale given by the AICTE for these lecturers.

Note - 

1. The Assistant Professors who do not have Ph.D or a Master's degree in the relevant branch / discipline those are eligible for the AGP of Rs. 7,000 only after completing of 6 years' service as Assistant Professor.
2. The Posts of Associate Professor shall be in the Pay Band of Rs.37400-67000, with AGP of Rs.9000. 


How to get a job in private institutions?

Getting job in private institutions is very easy than compared with that of getting a job in Government institutions. Take certain measures to know about the interview dates of the institution to which you are gonna apply. You have to contact the colleges to know if there is any vacancy and then they will call you for interview. Prepare for the interview and get it yourself.

1. Frequently check the openings via Google.
2. There are a good number of sites that do provide alerts on jobs. You can also make use of them. e.g - employmentnewsinindia.

We will later have a deep look at the Bank examinations. Bank exams are the most common thing that an Engineering graduate thinks after the degree. If you're looking forward for the government jobs, then bank exam is indeed a good choice.
